Welcome to the 2022-2023 School Year!
Hello! My name is Christine DeLong and this is my eleventh year teaching secondary life skills support (ninth year at Palmerton). Prior to teaching at Palmerton, I was the secondary life skills support teacher for the Mount Carmel Area School District, worked as a long term substitute for the Tamaqua Area School District, and worked the extended school year program for the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit. In addition to teaching life skills support for the district, I coach junior varsity cheerleading and am a timer at the track meets. I graduated magna cum laude from Bloomsburg University with a dual degree in elementary and special education (GO HUSKIES!) and also have my Master's degree as a reading specialist from Wilkes University. In my free time, I enjoy walking my dog, Lola, spending time with my family, and being outdoors. I especially enjoy spending time at the lake kayaking or paddleboarding (you can find me at Beltzville all summer long)! I am so excited to be your teacher this year and can't wait to learn more about all of you!
